Adlabs Imagica, an 80-acre theme park built at an approximate cost of $294 million, opened to the public on April 18, 2013. The park features 21 attractions including rides, film shows and live acts drawn from Indian mythology and Bollywood cinema. Adlabs Imagica theme park is in Khopoli, about 75 km (46 miles) from Mumbai.
'Adlabs Imagica', which claims to be "India's first and only theme park of an international scale", is said to be hoping to attract up to three million visitors a year among the country's burgeoning middle class. Film producer Manmohan Shetty- promoted Adlabs Entertainment is looking at setting up a second theme park in Hyderabad by the end of the year.
